Motorcycle Needs Work

I noticed yesterday that I have a fork oil seal leaking a little.

So I guess I will have to take the front end apart and replace them. Might as well take it down for the winter and do some other work on it that needs doing, as well as a few minor modifications I've been wanting to do.

I really don't like riding in the cold all that much, anyway. Although the weatherguessers claim we are going to have a warm winter here in Arizona this time around.

Oh well, the motorcycle needs work so it has to be done.

Maybe in the spring or summer I can take a road trip. It's been a while since I did that, and the occasion for the last one was a sad one, anyway. I must remember my camera this time, though. My phone doesn't have flash so nighttime pictures made with it are pretty much useless.

Refrigerator

My refrigerator seems to have repaired itself. No more loud noise that sounds like it's trying to launch into orbit.

I bought a tube patch kit for my bicycle but haven't gotten around to taking the wheel off and doing the repair yet. So the front tire is still flat.

I am going to have to take the rear brake on my motorcycle off and take it apart to find out why the brake keeps applying itself when I am riding at 50+mph (sigh).

Good & Bad

The bad news is that yesterday morning I found out the front tire on my motorcycle is flat! And with the battery in my truck already dead that means I had no transportation (my bicycle has a flat tire, too).

The good news is that my cousin brought me a new battery for my truck. So I have transportation again. Also my headache went away.

More bad news, my headache is back this morning.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that my electric bill is double what it was last month. That's more than $100 more than I budgeted for. Well, I guess part of it will be late.

The heat is still with us. This has been the hottest July on record here in the Arizona desert. No wonder my electric bill is so high.

Have fun until I post again in a day or two.

Falling Apart

I have had a headache since Monday afternoon. I got it when riding my motorcycle back home from Casa Grande in 114 degreee weather. That's like being in a convection oven.

I was riding the motorcycle because the battery in my pickup truck is totally dead. I recharged it twice in a weeks time and it is still dead when I let it sit overnight. I will buy a new battery Saturday.

My refrigerator started sounding like it wants to explode last night. It still works but it is real noisy. I guess I'll have to get another one of those soon, too. This one is only about four years old. Bought it new when the last one quit.

The wind blew some shingles off my roof. Now I have to buy an extension ladder because I don't want to have to borrow one again. Some of the shingles that blew off were ones that I replaced a few years ago when the original ones blew off. When I can manage it I want to put a metal or fiberglass roof up there so I won't have to worry about it anymore.

I hate getting on the roof in these above 100 degree temps. It's like crawling into an oven.

Enough for now. I'll see if I can't come up with something more interesting next time.
